Introductory Visits

15 minute “Meet the Doctor” Visits

Why are these visits important?

Both Dr. Michelle Decker and Dr. Kyle Maynard know that the relationship you have with your doctor is an important one. When our patients are seeking other health care practitioners, we always encourage them to “interview the doctor/therapist” to make sure that the match is right. These introductory visits allow prospective patients to do the same!

How much does the visit cost?

These introductory visits are complimentary however we invite you to help us support the Shelbourne Community Kitchen. You can do so by visiting the Shelbourne Community Kitchen website. This organization is a local neighbourhood food centre that shares many of our own values. They have helped more than 850 local families and individuals experiencing food insecurity by providing access to nutritious food, cooking programs and skill building.

What happens during the visit?

The main goal of these visits is for the doctor and the prospective patient to learn a bit about each other. Prospective patients share about their health concerns as well as what their goals are. We will discuss some of the philosophy and treatment options of naturopathic medicine. No treatment will be offered during this visit however, prospective patients should be able to determine if this clinic is the right choice for them.
