Dr. Michelle Decker – Naturopathic Doctor
Born and raised in Victoria, BC, and having spent her life on the West Coast, Dr. Michelle Decker appreciates the importance of finding balance between the benefits of modern life and the natural environment.
With a strong background in immunology and genetics, Dr. Michelle combines scientific knowledge with the holistic perspective of naturopathic medicine to provide personalized care to her patients. She values the wide perspective that naturopathic medicine provides allowing her to draw from a variety of approaches when developing treatment plans for her patients.
A life-long learner, Dr. Michelle keeps up to date on the latest research regarding best practices and new treatments. Her approach to treatment is always adaptive, as directed by evolving evidence and each patient’s concerns.
Areas of focus:
- Women’s health, including PCOS, menstrual issues, perimenopause and menopause care, with a focus on hormone prescribing
- Metabolic health, including blood sugar balance, insulin resistance, weight management, and cardiovascular health
- Autoimmune conditions, including Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, celiac and other autoimmune concerns
- Digestive health and allergies, including food sensitivities, intolerances, and digestive concerns
- Pediatric care, supporting children’s health and development at every stage

I was first introduced to naturopathic medicine after a series of unresolved health problems, and I found the patient centered approach so unique. At my first visit I felt heard and treated like a person, not a condition and I knew I wanted to help other people feel this way too! And so began my journey to become a naturopathic doctor.
