Dr. Michelle Decker – Naturopathic Doctor
Born and raised in Victoria, BC and having lived her entire life on the West Coast, Dr. Michelle Decker is uniquely qualified to understand the balance of nature and modern life that the Pacific Northwest offers. Whether camping in the rain with her family, identifying native plants with her mother or planting a garden with her grandparents, nature always had been an integral part of life.
Dr. Decker graduated from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in 2015 and was licensed to practice naturopathic medicine since 2016. Prior to attending naturopathic medical school, she obtained an Associate degree of Science (Biology) from Camosun College in Victoria and completed her Bachelor of Science in 2005 at the University of British Columbia, specializing in Microbiology and Immunology. She continued her education at UBC and in 2011 completed a Master of Science in Medical Genetics. During the course of the research into a premature aging disease, Dr. Decker realized that while basic medical research is important, her primary passion was actually working with patients. Naturopathic medicine has allowed her love of learning to be combined with her passion for patient care.
Dr. Decker is currently accepting new patients!
I was first introduced to naturopathic medicine after a series of unresolved health problems, and I found the patient centered approach so unique. At my first visit I felt heard and treated like a person, not a condition and I knew I wanted to help other people feel this way too! And so began my journey to become a naturopathic doctor.
